Peru
In 2019, I got the incredible opportunity to be a media intern for the Crees Foundation in Peru from May to August. I have traveled outside of the United States only a couple times, but no longer than a week or two at a time. All summer, I have been working with staff and other interns interested in the conservation of the Amazon Rainforest. As one of four media interns, we would get assignments every week related to conservation and go into the forest to collect information and media. Although it is quite different than the rest of my work, the environment and conservation of the planet are very important topics to me that I carry with me in my everyday life. I try to reduce my carbon footprint and I encourage everyone else to do as much as they can to reduce theirs as well. The tiny things matter too! Even the smallest actions everyday can help in big ways!
